2017 - photo basel applications are now open!
The third edition of photo basel art fair returns to
Volkshaus Basel on June 14th – 18th, 2017, in parallel to Art Basel.

photo basel is Switzerland’s first art fair dedicated to photography based art.
photo basel’s recent edition of 2016 has been named as one of the top 5 photography events of the year by Sotheby’s Art Institute in London. In addition to strong sales (74% of all participating galleries reported high sales), photo basel’s media reach topped 4.5 million in reach for the first time (+ 32%).
photo basel's raison d’être.
After two extraordinary years, photo basel definitely proved it’s raison d’être and is planning to expand in space for its third edition
(photo basel will be covering the entire Volkshaus complex). Volkshaus Basel is located only 700 meters away from Art Basel’s fair ground.
What’s new?
For the forthcoming 2017 edition, photo basel will introduce it’s new circles of experts. Advisory and Curatorial circle members will include galleries,
museum experts, curators and collectors (see full list here) – guaranteeing photo basel’s future success.
